Once I had hummingbirds nesting on my back porch, and I tried to take a look inside the nest to see their eggs – the hummingbird parent confronted me at the level of my face and, with wing flipping and intense gaze into my eyes. Watched an excellent documentary on PBS on Hummingbirds the other night. There are 380 types of Hummingbirds and the very in size from the size of a Bumblebee to the size of a regular small bird! If one gets a chance to watch this documentary please do! Was excellent.
