I’ve been overweight most of my life and dealing with the “fat” label adds another level of weirdness to the Fly on Pence’s head T-Shirt. Most compliments I received seem to be followed by the unsaid “but you’d be prettier if you weren’t big.” As someone else mentioned, body size is something that people tend to skirt around. I’ve been made fun of for being overweight, and during times in my life when I was actively trying to lose weight/be healthier, I was accused of being fatphobic by other overweight people.
