This weekend I went to an adoption shower for a couple who recently adopted two children from foster care. Because they’ve been Cg Sad Face Shirt the children for awhile, they already have plenty of toys and clothes so I decided to shower them with gift cards that they can enjoy as a newly formed family. I made a “Parent Survival Kit” with a tag that read “In event of emergency, use hammer to break glass.” Inside was a memory box filled with gift cards to my favorite family friendly retailers (another fun take on this gift would be to fill the frame with only Starbucks gift cards as the secret to parenting seems to be lots of caffeine!).
