OK, I vented! I know many will wildly disagree. And many will be sitting there going “yes, that makes so much sense”. But like all topics with parenting there seems to be a one side or the En Livstid I Krig Limited shirt. The key isn’t what side you take. The key is knowing your child and what they can handle. Full day preschool my children could never of handled. But to be perfectly fair, I also have the education, experience (& usually the patience) to get my kids ready for kindergarten on my own. My last piece of advice is if you put your child in the full day school & you see after 4–6 weeks they are still struggling. If you have the means, see if you can switch them to half days. Then see if emotionally and behaviorally they do better when you break them into that routine of school more slowly.
