The foolish, ignorant and unkind usually are. I do firmly believe our system of immigration needs to be changed. We cannot allow everyone in. Years ago it was much easier to enter this country legally. Now the laws are ridiculous and cost prohibitive. There need to be standards, a better system, more judges, and yearly limits. We do need to be humane. I believe in a just system. I also believe their are people who should be deported. Not everything is black and white. The system is broken and we are harming others. I’m not the least bit proud of that. We are becoming a harsh and uncivilized country. That isn’t what the America I have loved is all about. We used to have integrity and honor. I want that back.
