SLAM Cover Tee Trae Young

SLAM Cover Tee Trae Young

I never spent much on a Christmas Eve meal when my children were still young because they’d be too excited and antsy to care what we had. I saved the SLAM Cover Tee Trae Young for a wonderful Christmas day early evening meal with special things we all loved. By that time presents had been opened, toys played with, etc. I’d frequently make a good prime rib, twice baked potatoes, trifle with jello and lots of coolwhip, fancy butter gem rolls and of course a champagne toast, grape juice when the kids were under 10 y.o. I also made a nice make ahead dessert from the frozen chocolate jellyroll cake that I’d cover with semi-melted vanilla ice cream and decorated so it looked like a yule log. We of course always had Christmas crackers so we all got a really bad joke, a small (very small) toy and our tissue paper crowns. Good times.

Now another thing I noticed whilst watching the film- many character traits were missing. In the first film Star-Lord, played by Chris Pratt, was funny, full of energy and jokes. In this film he seemed tired, and lacked the Zoebread Store Sorry Everybody I Am A Horsey Sweatshir that made his character such a standout in the Marvel library. He just seemed mopey and his jokes felt forced and he seemed really unhappy to be with the Guardians. Meanwhile Drax- he looked different in some respects and acted a little off. Yes he was still very litteral, but he seemed more light-hearted. One of my favourite things with Drax, is how annoyingly clueless he was and his dark side was something I also loved. Now he just seems too happy. Rocket- a character I have never really liked due to me thinking he is just actually a rude character, seemed even ruder- he hadn’t learnt anything from film one. Yondu’s, portrayed by Michael Rooker, voice also sounded a little off to begin with in the film, which I found odd. A few things were just off. The fun was gone.
