I remember him with the Cardinals when he partnered with Jack Buck and Joe Garagiola in the 60s. Dad was a Cubs fan but they played a lot of day games so we’d listen to Harry at night. He started with the Cards in 1945 and did some Browns games as well. He stayed with the Cards for 25 seasons. Harry was always a homer with St Louis, you could almost hear him cry when the game or a season went against him.
