This makes me so happy, I could cry. First, it implies that F It. Ja’Marr’s Down There Somewhere Shirt sweet little Ron Weasley sent home an owl explaining to his mother that his new friend, Harry Potter, should get something for Christmas since his Muggle relatives are awful and probably won’t send him anything. Bless that boy! And then, of course, it suggests Harry’s reality of being this poor abused child who had never experienced the kind of joy of receiving a legitimate gift for Christmas before. But his life has suddenly been turned around. Now he’s a wizard (a famous one!) and finds himself at this amazing castle-wizard-school with friends and even presents. 🙂 Such a small moment, but it holds so much weight.
