I believe that Charles Leclerc is one of the best drivers in the Shabba Ranks shirt this season. Even before Formula One, he has shown his talents by winning the GP3 championship in 2016 and then the Formula 2 championship in 2017, that itself is quite an achievement. His first year as an F1 driver in Alfa Romeo Sauber is quite good in an otherwise “less competitive” car, beating his teammate, Marcus Ericcson with a margin of 30 points. After experiencing what it felt like to be in a midfield team, his move to Ferrari was quite surprising to me. Just when I thought that Vettel is going to beat him in every single away, Charles proved me completely wrong when he earned pole position, fastest lap, and a podium finish in just his second race. He was 24 points ahead of Vettel that year, gaining 10 podium finishes including 2 wins, 7 pole position, and 3 fastest laps. His performance was just surreal, with Hamilton acknowledging that he is very fast and has great potential. But it was his win at Monza that defined it all, a dream that I’ve been waiting for years, it was just damn amazing.
