I actually enjoyed Brightburn, which does not seem to be the prevailing opinion. And although I typically enjoy Official Some Grandmas Play Bingo Real Grandmas Watch Baseball T Shirt remakes, I didn’t hate the 2000s remakes of Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. They were not “good” movies, but they kept me entertained.I’ve seen a lot of hate on the Conjuring and Annabelle movies; which is okay, we all have different tastes, and I know the real-life Warrens were probably con artists, but I genuinely enjoy the series. That part in Annabelle:Creation where the girl turns into the demon gives me chills just thinking about it. Supernatural horror in general freaks me out though; I can watch slashers all day and it doesn’t scare as much, but you bring ghosts/demons into anything and you got me. Also, La Llorona was a decent inclusion.

Painted as corpses, of course. I guess it depends on your attitude about it, but Halloween can be a lot of fun.

Chances are high that you’ve seen it already, but I’d recommend The Ring. Specifically the English language remake (never saw the original).The film seems to be devicive on whether it’s actually scary or not, but I had a very particular phobia as a child of the things featured in this film, and I saw it by by myself in an empty theater running on no sleep after a graveyard shift, plus, right after I got home, my landline phone rang. I was anxiety-ridden around televisions for a good month after seeing this, thank God static channels aren’t really a thing anymore.
