My Shakespeare professor in college had a hilarious story about how one of his grad students asked him to recite this sonnet at Piss me off again and we play a game called duct duct tape shirt. He initially refused to do it because it’s actually not romantic at all in context with the overarching narrative of the sonnets, but he eventually gave in. So, on the wedding day, he’s placed up way above the congregation, prepared to recite the poem like a preacher reciting the Bible.
