Guy I know with a small label did an absolutely brilliant release of a Polish composer/musician’s recent works for piano this year. It was issued on cassette only and White Claw Ruby Grapefruit Reinbeer Light Christmas Shirt … on normal-bias tapes. The sound is extraordinarily full of hiss and the dynamic range of the instrument and the music far exceeds the tape’s ability to capture it. Inquired about a possible download code, and no dice. That’s the way it stands. Still love it, but the music deserves better.
